Golf has always been viewed as a game of leisure. But today’s golfer is leaner, stronger, and fitter. Until the last few years, golfers didn’t know how to go about incorporating golf fitness, or specifically resistance training for golf.
They have had a vision of going into the local gym and being intimidated by the “muscle heads.” It can also be overwhelming to decide what plan of action to take and if it will be worth the time and effort. I have listed some myths about strength training for golf and the truths about them as well.
“I will bulk up too much and that will hinder my golf swing.”
Golf fitness (resistance training specific for golf) will not result in muscle gain that will alter your swing mechanics. To increase muscle size, involves lifting increasingly heavier weights with lower repetitions, increasing your calorie intake dramatically, and spending a couple of hours per day lifting weights.
A golf fitness program incorporates moderate weight, with medium (12-15) repetitions, and in a time frame of 30-45 minutes. This type of program is designed to improve your golf specific strength and endurance, not build muscle.
“I will lose flexibility if I lift weights.”
In fact, the opposite is true! Weak muscles are also tight muscles. When you do resistance training, you are increasing blood flow, working through a functional range of motion specific to golf, and strengthening the tendons and ligaments in every joint of your body. In conjunction with a stretching program, strength training will improve flexibility, not hinder it.
“Weight training will cause me to lose feel.”
By strengthening your muscles specific to golf, you will have better control of your body. A golf fitness program trains your body specifically for your golf game. When you improve functional strength, you have more control and balance, which will improve your feel. Strength training involves body awareness, muscular control, and coordination. These are all key elements for enhanced golf.
So in summary, golf fitness can be done when you are in your early teens (with supervision), or into your late 80’s. I have personally worked with people in there 70’s and 80’s who increased their strength 100%. This was partly due to the initial level of fitness being so low. My point is, that it is never too late to start. Search out a fitness professional or conditioning specialist to design a golf specific program and you will play better than you ever imagined! Start now!

The preeminent show of the 1990’s decade, Seinfeld grew from an idea of “a show about nothing” into a sacred pop culture icon, not that there’s anything wrong with that… The show follows the life of comedian Jerry Seinfeld and the exploits of his “short, quirky, bald guy” best friend, George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Jerry’s neurotic neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Jerry’s ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Through the years, they’re joined by a loveable cast of characters that includes Newman, Uncle Leo, the Soup Nazi, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and countless others…
Following on the heels of Season 4, arguably the best season ever (with famous episodes such as The Bubble Boy, The Contest, The Pick, The Junior Mint, The Handicap Spot, and The Pilot), Season 5 offers its own case for Seinfeld immortality with episodes like The Puffy Shirt (a.k.a. The Pirate Shirt), The Stall (can you spare a square?), The Marine Biologist (or is it The Architect?), The Hamptons (there was significant shrinkage!), and The Opposite (George’s newfound religion)…
The Seinfeld (Season 5) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “The Mango” in which Jerry discovers that Elaine “faked it” during the time they went out. Determined to redeem himself, he begs Elaine for another shot. Meanwhile, Kramer gets banned from his favorite fruit vendor when he attempts to return a bad peach… Other notable episodes from Season 5 include “The Hamptons” in which Jerry’s girlfriend accidentally sees George naked following his swim in a cold pool (which caused him to shrink like “a frightened turtle”), and “The Opposite” in which George decides that every decision he’s ever made in life was the wrong one, and from now on, he’ll do the exact opposite of what his instincts tell him to do…

Laminated flooring can be a frugal solution to flooring problems. We all love the look of genuine hardwood floors, but apart from the fact that they’re very expensive, homeowners can’t do anything but love it.
Laminated flooring comes in an overwhelming array of colors. You’ll be absolutely
spoiled for choice. Of course, like anything else, there are names that you should look
for in laminated floors. They include Kronotex, Pergo, Wilsonart, Uniclic, Mannington
and Formica.
There are different kinds of laminated flooring design. Some laminates slot together,
like tongue and groove, and others need to be glued in place. They are also harder
wearing and longer lasting that solid hardwood because they give slightly and are
therefore less prone to shock damage.
Laminated flooring is just so easy to take care of, a quick wipe over from time to time
is all it needs. No oiling and no scrubbing are needed. Installing a laminated floor does
take a little experience. If you’ve never done it before, do enlist the help of a
professional.
When you pick laminated flooring you can enjoy the choice of every exotic hardwood
floor effect that every existed. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can install a
beautiful, stylish floor with laminated products.

Placing a right kind of furniture in the garden can make the surroundings look more attractive and enjoyable. There are different materials such as plastic, iron, copper and wood those are used in the construction of garden furniture. The one that is highly prominent and preferred among these is the wood garden furniture. Wood can easily blend with the colors of nature, provides a more aesthetic look, is easy to clean and an eco-friendly option.
Proper care and maintenance of wooden furniture is essential so that they can last long and provide the best return on your investment. Wood can get easily damaged if it is exposed to sun and rain for a prolonged period of time. Hence, they must be properly protected against scorching heat and storm by either covering them with plastic sheets or keeping them in the shade when not in use. They must periodically be sprayed with protectants and preservatives so that they are not damaged by insects. Another enemy for wood garden furniture is moisture present in the soil. Avoid placing the furniture in the grass for long durations of time. Or else the legs of the furniture can easily soak up moisture and get damaged. Once in a month, furniture should be thoroughly cleaned using a wet cloth and dried under the sun. In case, you are not planning to use the furniture for months, remove it from the garden and store in a garage and cover it.

After putting in a good deal of time in the casino and gambling with friends, I have learned that one can always stand to learn a few more things about their style of play, consequently taking their gambling skill to a higher level. In conjunction with steady experience, traits such as discipline and patience (as well as a little Lady Luck) help gamblers to win more often at their game of choice. To help you achieve this, here are some specific tips to put into practice:
1.)Remember the best places to gamble at.
2.)Only gamble at casino games you know.
3.)Always think before you bet…don’t ever go on feelings alone.
4.)Bet the maximum when gambling for progressive jackpots.
5.)Learn to spot fair games and how they are different from the rest of the
pack.
Let’s take a look at the first pointer: “Remember the best gambling destinations”. This is pretty self-explanatory, which should shed some light on a fact that not every gambler knows about: Not all casinos are equal. The best way to tell is by first finding out what software the casino uses. Verify the software is credible and has a good reputation with the gambling community. In addition to posting the game payout percentages, the casino should let you see samples of the games, which should have sharp graphics and clean playing screens. Also, take a few moments to contact the casinos customer support. Make sure they get back to you and answer all your questions. The second pointer specifically deals with the casino games you decide to play. Do not think that just because you know the rules of a game means your chances of winning are as good as they can get.
Strategy makes up a big portion of winning, which you try to learn through practice. And even if your casino game of choice cannot be played with a specific strategy, practice anyways. Open a “play for fun” account at the casino, and gamble with pretend money to insure you are familiar with not only the rules of playing, but how to use the
software, including the placing of bets and changing stake amounts. When you are familiar with a game, you will be more relaxed and gamble more confidently. The key to the third pointer is to always be aware of your state of mind, as
well as your bankroll.
As human beings, it is very easy to get caught in the excitement of a game, and bet money without thinking first. However, this can be very dangerous, and has been the demise of many gamblers. Before starting
any betting session, set yourself reasonable winning and losing limits, while remaining disciplined enough to see them through. For as many times as big jackpots are hit, it is in a gamblers best interest to bet the maximum number of coins at a progressive jackpot. Large progressive jackpots do not hit very frequently - but when they do, they are enormous. And
you are only eligible to win the full jackpot if you bet the maximum wager. Although you will put more money into the machine, when you hit the progressive jackpot, your return will far exceed your net profit of winning the same spin
but with a smaller bet size. Learning to spot fair games as opposed to the not-so-fair, is not a difficult thing to do. With a little insight you won’t think twice about which machines are fair and which are not. Video poker machines are a great example of how two identically looking machines can operate at different fairness standards. The way to tell the difference is by looking at the payout schedules.
All casinos
are required to openly display what the payouts are for different winning hands in relation to the bet size. One machine may give a payout of 1.5, while another may return 1.6. Always go for the higher payout - it can be the
difference between winning and losing. As for casino table games, know the inherent Casino Advantage for each game, as well as the House Rules. In blackjack, sometimes a dealer will have to stand on 16 - other times it may be
17.
Know what rules give the lowest House Edge - and only play those games that do. If you keep these pointers always in mind, practice with patience, and attract a little luck (which we all eventually do), you will find yourself winning more often in the casino, and having more fun the whole time through.

The stress of going to a offline casino is enough not to go there unless you can’t avoid it. Certainly all those traffic jams, the stress, and tasks the process involves don’t really vindicate the difficulties for that possibility of trying your hand at offline casino, all the same, if you are the sort who totally craves card-playing then going virtual will likely be the most obvious option. It isn’t required to leave your house to try your hand at online roulette etc for the reason that everything will be conducted from within your domestic environment provided you possess a PC plus, obviously, a functional Internet connection. Still, let’s not forget that there are a few things which you’ll want to become familiar with concerning online roulette etc, the more so if you happen to be a tenderfoot in this field.
The foremost thing which your well informed Internet gambler will be certain to target is an online roulette etc Web page of the category which has the best odds. Take care the online roulette etc Web page is evaluated by a reputable auditor in order to check the referenced games pay-outs percentage regularly. You should always make sure beyond doubt that the online casino gambling Web page is licensed, e.g. by hunting for the certified operating license as recorded on the casino site. If it’s impossible to pick out any certified operating license on that targeted online casino gambling Web page, don’t ever try to place your bets at that place. Why not play with casino bonus code no deposit here?
Moreover, further advice is to test the odds first with lesser sums in lieu of drain great amounts of money instantly. Check out the integrity of this particular online casino gambling framework rather than going for any dangerous risk- the more so money loss… Finally, do mind this particular suggestion concerning virtual poker. It is bound to be to always recall that any kind of gambling should always be concerned with enjoyment and much less about making a buck. Betting is not a business, rather, it is a hobby which can help you become chipper and your life fun. Thus, having heeded the all these leads, set out and yield to the magnetism of online casino gambling…

Why, public relations that stays true to its fundamental premise, of course.
In a nutshell, “People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired- action those people whose behaviors affect the organization, the public relations mission is accomplished.”
Adhere to that, and you can’t go wrong!
Even those who believe public relations is just a bunch of communications tactics, can improve their performance because the premise and its strategy will keep those tactics on the straight and narrow.
How? The premise requires that tactics be selected on the basis of (1) knowing how a target audience perceives the organization, (2) precisely who the tactics should be aimed at, and (3) and most important, what changes in perception, and thus behaviors, are desired so that you can set a goal, then tell if you achieved it or not.
That way, the tactics have a fair chance of doing some good by visibly helping you achieve your business objectives.
Happily, even when “practiced best,” this isn’t rocket science. All it takes is a brief but logical plan.
Decide which external audience of yours has the most serious impact on your organization. That becomes your key target audience, and off we go!
Can’t do much if we don’t know how they perceive you and your organization. So, you’ve got to get out there among members of that key target audience and ask some questions.
What do they think of you and your operation? Notice any negatives? Are misconceptions, inaccuracies or rumors becoming evident? Any undercurrents surfacing? Is there a problem coming down the pike?
When this monitoring phase is complete, you can set a public relations goal that corrects the problem you turned up. For example, your goal might try for a positive impact on individual perception by explaining your pricing policies, or replacing a damaging rumor with the truth.
Now you need to know how you’re going to reach that goal. And that’s where strategy comes in. You have three choices. You can create opinion (perception) where none exists, or you can change existing opinion, or simply reinforce it. Your choice will respond to what you turned up during your monitoring phase.
If there is a tough part in our brief and logical plan, this is it. You need a really good, corrective message for delivery to your key target audience. It must be clear as spring water, VERY persuasive and, of course, the unvarnished truth. Prepare a draft, then try it out on two or three members of your external audience, then adjust as needed.
Now we come to those “beasts of burden” we discussed up front, the communications tactics themselves. These foot soldiers, to mix a metaphor, will carry your corrective message to the eyes and ears of members of the target audience. A pretty important step, so choose well.
Luckily, you have a ton at your disposal. Emails, personal meetings, news releases, radio interviews and special events. Or, letters-to-the-editor, face-to-face meetings, speeches and open houses. A long list.
Your work is not quite over. How do you know whether your brief and logical plan is working?
The answer is, you will not know for certain until you and your colleagues get back into the field and talk to members of that all-important key audience population all over again.
I know, I know, that’s time consuming and a powerful lot of work. But it’s worth it! What you want to question those folks about, of course, is the same topics you raised the first time around. Only now, you’re looking for altered perceptions.
For example, does the second set of responses indicate that you were successful in clarifying the misconception? Or that the inaccurate belief is morphing into your version? Or, that the irritating (and potentially dangerous) rumor has been laid to rest?
If, however, feedback shows more work is needed, it’s back to the drawing board for a better mix and frequency of higher-impact communications tactics. Plus, another look at your message - was it clear enough? Were the best “hot buttons” pressed? Did you include the right facts and figures to support your case?
Fact is, the Pot ‘o Gold at the end of this rainbow is consistency. When you gather responses showing a consistently positive pattern, that brief and logical plan of yours is beginning to produce the success promised by the fundamental premise of public relations.

My young son, like most toddlers, has a piggy bank. Every
evening he and his Daddy have fun putting spare change from
Dad’s pockets into the pig. In fact, we’ve had to empty the pig
contents several times in the past months. It sure does fill up
quickly. Before the pig, the spare change was just left lying on
the dresser, leaving us with a big mess, and no idea how much
had accumulated.
What do piggy banks and food choices have in common? I honestly
would have had no idea before this past week when I decided to
start keeping a food journal. Calories are a lot like the spare
change from my husband’s pockets, they add up fast.
Unfortunately, before I started writing them all down, they were
exactly like the mess on our dresser, only harder to clean up,
or loose.
Since having my son two-and-a-half years ago, I have attempted
numerous times to loose the extra ‘baby weight’. Although
becoming harder to do so everyday, I have to laugh at the ‘baby
weight’ excuse. Honey, the so called ‘baby weight’ was lost when
the bundle made his first shrill squeal at the hospital. What
I’m packing around is twenty pounds of pocket change with no pig
to put it in…
At the end of the first day of ‘food journaling’, I expected to
discover a miraculous remedy for what’s ailing me…and guess
what? I did. I discovered that… I eat too much. Huh? That’s it?
I eat too much? Actually, it’s not the quantity, most of the
time anyway, but the choices that are the problem. But come on,
I had no idea that one stinking piece of American cheese had
seventy calories, and forty-five of them came from fat. Boy,
nibbling on a few of those through out the day can shoot your
entire plan to heck.
The first day I just ate and wrote it all down. Other than
trying to remember to jot down the food and calories for each
bit I ate, I didn’t change a thing. After needing to use a
calculator to add it all up that night, the reality was heavier
than all of the piggy bank change in the world. I really needed
to make some healthier choices in what I was consuming each day.
Food journaling has opened my eyes not only to how my choices
were preventing weight loss, but how easy it is to just pop
quick snacks into my mouth rather than planning my meals for the
day. I’ve also taken up another foreign concept…the art of
exercise. Just like emptying the pig when it gets too full, I’m
depositing extra calories everyday with some very much needed
walking.
At the end of your day, are you just dumping your spare change
on the dresser, or do you keep count of how much you’ve
accumulated? Come on. You can do it. You’ll be surprised at how
fast those nickels…ahem, calories, can add up! Bank those
calories in your own food journal today.

Back in 1999, the Imperial Cancer Research Fund stated that one in every three people in Britain will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life. With rapid medical advances the chances of survival from a major illness are improving but the consequences of suffering such an illness continue to be substantial and life-changing.
Critical illness insurance policies are designed to help you cope with the changes which will be necessary should you be diagnosed with a “qualifying medical condition”. Most policies will pay out following a diagnosis of heart disease, cancer, stroke, renal failure, paralysis, major organ transplant and coronary artery bypass surgery as well as a range of other conditions. There is normally a one-off tax free payment which is intended to assist you with costs, typically the need to adapt your home or car or maybe re-train for a different occupation. It’s not only the bread-winner that can benefit from this type of cover and you should take account of child care and housekeeping costs which would be involved should Mum be out of action.
Unfortunately, at a time when most people are suffering from the shock of learning that they have been diagnosed with a critical illness, they and their families may learn some additional disturbing news. The insurance industries latest figures show that, on average, around a quarter of all claims are rejected!
As soon as a claim is made, the insurance company will request a huge amount of information from your doctor. It’s quite likely that much of this information is not relevant to the illness for which the claim relates. The insurer is using this information to ascertain whether or not the insured has been completely truthful on the original insurance application form.
The reason for this is what the insurers call non-disclosure and if any medical information has been omitted, they can use this as grounds for refusing the claim.
It appears that the non-disclosure may not be related to the critical illness. Claims have been turned down for various reasons, including the case of a woman with breast cancer whose case was rejected because she hadn’t listed treatment for depression on the original proposal form.
The rejection rates are shown as follows:
Company % of rejected claims
Scottish Equitable Project 28%
Norwich Union 26%
Friends Provident 25%
Legal and General 22%
Bupa 21.5%
Skandia 21%
Prudential 20%
Standard Life 20%
Scottish Widows 18%
Scottish Provident 11%
Scottish Equitable Guardian 10%
Average
23.5%
Despite the insurers claim that these rejections are perfectly legal, the Law Commission appears to think differently. There has been a consultation document published recently and the Commission makes the statement “It is possible for an applicant to act reasonably and honestly and yet still fail to meet the duty of disclosure.” The conclusions of these consultations will be reported on as soon as they are available.
It is therefore extremely important that when applying for this very valuable form of insurance, you disclose all previous illnesses. It’s probable that if you have to claim, then your medical records will be thoroughly examined and if the insurers consider you omitted medical information, they may “throw out” the request.
Compare companies for the best rates. Read the small print. Spend some considerable time in listing medical conditions. Relax - it may never happen.

Faded away are the days where the best ticket seller people would be able to find sports tickets would be the box office of the actual venue of the terrific show that folk were going to watch. There are also now 100’s of different ways for one to acquire ballet tickets without even having to get up out of the comfort of your own apartment.
Musical tickets for super artists such as Michael Jackson are these days becoming harder & harder to see hold of. There are the big time outlets like Timeout for which you can buy fantastic ballet tickets for everything. Timeout is the most massive method to see tickets. The ticket shop simply acts as an agent selling the festival tickets which the client makes further available to them. One of the 1st ticketing trades to supply festival tickets on the world wide web, Timeout now supply a wide percentage of its comedy tickets online, some via cell phone and a % via its various ticket retailers. Find and buy tickets for London shows online from www.timeout.com/london/tickets.
Ticket reselling is the act of reselling concert tickets for admission to events. This is of course more familiarly known as ticket touting. You yourself can often normally pick up ticket touts based encircling the venue on the day of the show or big sport game starts. Please be careful when purchasing from a ticket tout as sometimes the touts will be selling illegal comedy tickets that can not get people into the venue.
There is a new and improved service that is known as SMS tickets. All this is an inexpensive priced ticket system that supplies musical tickets via txt messaging (SMS) & print at home e-tickets. All that needs doing is to supply your text message ticket or print at home e-ticket to the event venue it can then be checked and you are in. You’re saved dollars by not ever being charged postage and packaging parcel costs, & the comedy booking costs are likewise forever kept low. There are loads of benefits to text message tickets; folk get your sport venue ticket handed to people then and there, there is no hanging all over for the delivery man or courier. Folk can get new sport venue tickets sent free if you lose them and you yourself can get in quick, there’s no waiting around for a ticket steward to manually tag the ballet ticket.
