Nine Kick Ass Ways to Burn the Flab in Seven Days!

Medical + More

1. Holistic Fitness is crucial: Keep your overall fitness in mind instead of just one facet of it. Realize that there are four major aspects that one work on: aerobic fitness, endurance and muscle strength, body composition and flexibility. Develop and build upon each of these every training day.

2. Focus on the sport’s objectives: Hone parts of the body which is most used for your primary activity activity. If you play soccer you would want to hammer on endurance, and if you compete at karate you might rather focus on strength training.

3. Tag your girlfriend: Chugging along on the fitness train is simpler when you work with someone. Misery loves company as we know. Draw upon your girlfriend’s enthusiasm when yours is running low. You’ll perk up all the more as she depends on you to motivate her. But before you bring her, ensure that she shares the same goals as yourself.

4. Bring the tape: No, not the VHS, you lazy lump! The measuring tape. Take stock of your stats, including your arms, chest, waist, thighs and wherever else that you are trying to make sexier. Get a habit out of re-measuring once a week. As you admire some measurable results, you motivate yourself all the more!

5. Bring in the Goals: Jot attainable short and long term goals for yourself! Don’t just hit the homerun and pat yourself on the back once you reach them. No, I want you to break all stops and reward yourself with something special! But please, don’t make the reward something that will be detrimental to your goals, such as chugging down beers or popping tarts into that gut. Make your goals reachable. Set goals that are challenging but not depressing.

6. Time to commit: Set holy appointments with yourself. Can the excuses as to why you can’t workout. Jot them on your calendar, highlight them and draw all manner of motivational pix next to them. Stick with it! Respect this time for yourself and let others know about it. When someone asks you out for coffee let them know your workout dates, and ask them to join you. This way people will know that during that time you are unavailable. The moment you accept gut -swelling coffee outs, you will postpone future workouts.

7. Reach out and streeeetch: Stretching exercises make any workout easier- it floods your body with happy chemicals like endorphins. Take care to stretch before a workout and afterwards as well.

8. Your Personal Space: Where you run the gauntlet is just as important as what you do. Ensure that you are comfortable and enervated in your chosen workout place. Good places include TV magazines and music. Keep water and fruit bowls within reach. How many times have you used getting drinks as an excuse to stop cardio?

9. Please the lenses: What can be more motivating than before and after shots of people who have lost weight or built muscle? Sheer eye-candy! Now what if photos were of you? You see yourself everyday and sometimes it is easy to forget the old you. Take those photos right now and look at them often. Looking at the before photos and looking in the mirror is not enough. Take after photos every week.

Simple Marketing Idea - Big Marketing Results!

Uncategorized

Have you ever noticed how many times it’s the simplest concepts that end up working the best?

The same is so true when it comes to marketing. I’m constantly amazed at just how powerful some of the simplest concepts are. I’ve seen simple marketing ideas that cost next to nothing and really require little to no additional extra work begin to make a company an extra thousand or more a month - every month.

Unfortunately, the problem with simple marketing ideas is that many are so quick to excuse them as, well, “too simple to possibly work.” Intelligent small business owners and independent professionals just like you mistakenly believe an idea has to be sophisticated and intricate to be really valuable.

WRONG! In fact, it’s completely the opposite that’s true. The more complicated the idea, the less chance you have of making it work. If you can even get the idea implemented that is. Simple does not mean well thought out. It just means not complicated.

OK, where am I headed with all of this?

Well, one of the simplest marketing ideas I’ve ever come across I believe to also be one of the most powerful. Incredibly successful professionals have shared that this one technique has been primarily responsible for completely filling their business pipeline.

It has been called the “Number One” strategy for generating word-of-mouth business. And remember that when I ask people where most of their business comes from, 99% or more say that it’s from word-of-mouth. I wonder how many of them use this strategy consistently.

Even though most people know about this powerful method, it’s surprising how few people actually use it consistently. Perhaps because it’s just too simple and business owners are always looking for fresh, new, and more sophisticated (i.e., perceived to be higher value) ideas.

So many marketing ideas, where do you start?

There’s no doubt that there are a seemingly endless number of ways and variations of ways to market your business. But doesn’t it just make sense to start implementing the simplest methods first? You may even find that some of these simple techniques are all you really need to grow your business to the levels you want.

I’ve seen it time and time again both in the companies I’ve worked for and the clients I’ve worked with. You are given the simplest, most effective solution to your marketing or management problem, and you don’t put it into practice because it just seems too simple, too darn easy to work.

After all, if the simple, easy ideas really worked then wouldn’t everyone be using them? Well you would think, but even the simple solutions take some work on your part to be successful. And too often, people want the results without having to do the work.

Simple does not mean you don’t have to do the work. It just means not complicated.

So what is this simple yet incredibly powerful idea that can help you generate significantly more business? What is this marketing technique that is so simple and inexpensive that I believe everyone should be doing it from the very first day they go into business?

Drum roll please…ba, da, ba, da, ba, da, ba, da, ba, da…

Commit to sending out personal hand-written notes - Thank You notes or Cards.

What’s that? You were expecting something a little more sophisticated and intricate than this? Don’t hit the ‘delete’ key just yet. I really think you’re going to want to hear this.

The great salespeople and successful business owners want to be in front of their customers, prospects, referral sources and alliance partners as much as possible. And one of the primary keys to staying top of mind with these folks is to find ways to do it in a positive and non-threatening manner.

Personal hand-written notes certainly fit this criterion.

When someone hires you to do work for them, or someone else refers some business your way, they expect you to produce results, deliver quality service, and get the job done. Therefore, if you do all of these things, all you’ve done is meet expectations. But guess what, your competitors are typically able to meet those expectations as well.

If you want to create raving fans that will help you really grow your business, then you have to give them more than they expect. And the power of a personal hand-written note is a perfect way to do that. Think about the last time you received a hand-written note of appreciation. How did that make you feel? Didn’t it make you feel good?

The unwritten part of the message is that this person cared enough to take the time to write a note to ME! That is precisely the reason that this simple but powerful idea works so well. Try it and you’ll find that the more you use them, the better they’ll work and the better you’ll feel.

The reasons to send personal notes including “thank you” notes are practically endless. But this is a lost art in the world of business anymore. Even though personal attention is always more effective, email and voice mail are just so much quicker and therefore make it ineffective in some peoples’ minds.

I just have to shake my head when I hear comments like, “That won’t work for my business. My clients expect me to be more technically advanced.” Don’t get me wrong, email and voice mail certainly have their place. But, the personal touch is what will set you apart from others competing for your clients’ attention.

Consider How This Might Work For Your Business…

Imagine how a scenario like this might work for your business… A client makes a small purchase from you and receives a personal, hand-written thank you card in the mail within a few days. Then they receive another hand-written card 30 days later just checking in to make sure they’re happy with their purchase and reminding them how they can access customer service. Then they receive another personalized card 60 to 90 days after that making a special offer only available to current customers.

Do you see how powerful a simple campaign like this could be for your business?

Golf Humor Examines Golf Emotions:- Are We Just A Bunch Of Cry Babies?

Universe Of Sports

Let’s examine an aspect of the game that I find par-
ticularly fascinating:- The strong emotions associated
with this game of golf.

Before I started becoming a fan of this game, I always
wondered how a game that looked so bland—-and at times
down right comatose—–that seemed to take boredom to a
whole new level——could possibly have Any emotional
appeal.

DID THIS GAME ACTUALLY HAVE A PULSE?!

I mean——-what could be simpler? PUT THE BALL IN
THE HOLE, RIGHT?

How could that POSSIBLY produce such strong emotions
(both on the green and off).

I see now that it’s NOT just about competing to be the best
against others, and to better your own game.

But that the game APPEARS to be so deceptively simple.
Could THAT be the source of this emotional rollercoaster?

Remember when you first began? How you may have experienced
difficulty just gripping the club handle? (Or just being allowed
to join the local golf club?) ;-]

But yet you still managed to “putt” the ball in the hole? (A
typical case of beginner’s luck). You probably thought to
yourself, “This isn’t so bad. Piece of caKE!”

But then, all the realities of what could possibly go
wrong between the tee and the hole came crashing down on
your head. (That your instructor was so gracious to point
out to you).

Wind direction, contour of the land, sand traps, bunkers,
the rough, other players mocking you,…

That temporary NIRVANA of IGNORANT BLISS that you lived
in was shattered to pieces forever at the next hole. Now
instead of 4 or 5 strokes, it takes 7 or 8 strokes. Then
8 or 9…

You begin to overthink everything. Something that once
easily flowed…now becomes mechanical and forced. Your
smile and upbeat attitude are gone. Now replaced with
embarassment. Nervousness. Irritability.

And finally,—the dreaded FRUSTRATION sets in. TO quit
seems more and more like a good idea. (I mean who needs the
aggravation?)

But you don’t quit, right? The game is like an addiction
to you after several weeks. There’s something deep within
the subconscious of we human beings that enjoys facing
down a challenge…even if it’s a sport.

THere’s a drive to conquer in all of us. Even to the point of
conquering our own weaknesses and seeming lack of ability.

It’s a tough battle sometimes. If you’ve ever seen a golfer
break his expensive titanium club over his knee, tie it in
a knot, then toss it into the nearest water hazard,…
Or screaming at the top of his lungs at a golf ball…
Or trying to run his caddie over because he forgot to
remove the flag in time…you know what I mean.

But the love still remains.

If you’ve ever seen a golfer drooling over a new bag of clubs
in the sporting goods department of a department store…
or have known yourself to pay the grounds keeper to let
you play just four more holes after hours…Or remembered
to bring your clubs on vacation, but left your wife
standing in the drive way…you know what I mean!

The highs and lows of this game in the hearts and minds of golfers.

THIS is the emotional roller coaster I was referring to.

Going from one extreme to the next.

Can you see yourself living from day-to-day without this
sport for any length of time?

Just think about that for a second…

HMMmm?

Feels like a rather BLEAK outlook doesn’t it? ;-] Hm?

This sport has been “knitted” to our souls. We practically
live and breath it now. And are always striving to become
better. To knock just a few more strokes off.

Just keep punching, and that mountain’s gonna fall!

We know that true skill is a “diamond in the rough”, that
can only be refined through hard work and practice.

Well…

Just keep drivin’ fellow golfer! Keep drivin’!

So Now They Call You “Manager”?

Managers World

You have worked hard and you have just gotten that promotion
you have always wanted and certainly earned. You have never
supervised or been held responsible for other’s job
performance and productivity. Now what?

If you can define answers to these fundamental management
questions and truly understand how they can or will affect
you in your new group leadership role, you can position
yourself to maximize your group’s ultimate productivity.

1) DEFINE WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AS A “MANAGER”.

• What are the performance objectives of your work group?

• Are the group’s performance expectations measurable?

• Are the performance expectations tied to a timeline?

• Are the objectives realistic?

• Are the performance objectives relevant - worth pursuing?

2) DEFINE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO MEET FUTURE DEMANDS.

• What internal and external resources are available to you?

• What resources available do you actually have control?

• Are the resources enough to meet performance expectations?

• Understand how to get more support if you find the need.

3) DEFINE WHO TO INTERACT WITH FOR MAXIMUM PRODUCTIVITY.

• Who within your company affects performance in your group?

• Who outside the company can affect group performance?

• Can you realistically affect these influential parties?

• What support can you expect if you find you need it?

4) DEFINE WHAT VIABLE LEADERSHIP AUTHORITY YOU HAVE.

• Can your supervisor clearly define your authority levels?

• At what point or level does you supervisor want involved?

• Are you given more responsibility than authority needed?

• What recourses do you have to address poor group results?

Any organization, be it a for profit company, government entity
or non-profit group, is often made up of groups of people who
collectively seek overall “success” for their organization.
As a group leader or manager you can best drive success for
your segment of the organization by being consistently proactive
in defining the span influence and control of your own
leadership role. This is a constant and ever changing process.
Circumstances both inside the organization and affects from
outside require successful managers to gauge their role and
contributions within the four segments defined above.

When you think about it, each group within any organization,
and each member within for that matter, should only demand
and use just enough or the organization’s resources to maximize
their productivity. Any use or demand of resources that is more
or less than what actually is required makes for unnecessary
frustration, confusion and waste.

Ideally it is the successful manager that constantly adjusts
what is needed to leverage their own group control, support,
influence and their ultimate accountability within the
organization. This leadership skill set does not come natural
to people. A manager must understand the need for their constant
definition of their own role within their organization and the
consequences of proactively communicating same to each of their
subordinates, showing them how their responsibilities and
contributions affect the organization as a whole.

As organizations grow and diversify as a response to ever
changing demands of them from their constituents, they naturally
become more dependent on their managers. More often than not,
the organization does not effectively clarify what is expected
of their managers. One cannot expect the organization to make
your management responsibilities easier - it is up to you to do
that for yourself.

Book Binding Companies

Publishing Portal

A lot of work goes into binding a document or a book. The procedure involves cutting, folding, gathering, gluing, stapling, stitching, sewing, and wrapping the sheets. Bindery workers are responsible for all this, including the setting up, operation, and maintenance of the equipment used in the binding process.

The tasks of binding may vary according to the type of material being worked on, such as edition binding work that involves binding books in runs, or job binding where books are created in smaller volumes. Some companies offer services in binding books for libraries. They need to provide some specialized binding for books in the libraries. Many companies also provide binding relate to pamphlet binding and making leaflets and folders. Most of the binders are in the binding business related documents such as ledgers and books of sales receipts. Blank book binding companies bind blank pages to create notebooks, address books, diaries, checkbooks, calendars, and note pads.

Books and magazines created by bookbinders and bindery workers are done with large, flat, printed sheets of paper. These sheets are run through equipment that folds these sheets into stacks of pages arranged sequentially, otherwise known as “signatures”. These signatures must then be sewn, stitched, or glued together by the bookbinders. These are later shaped into books using presses and trimming machines, and then reinforced by glued fabric strips. Covers are usually produced separately and then glued, pasted, or stitched onto the body of the book. These books will then be put through many different finishing processes such as at least wrapping the book in paper jackets.

All the bindery workers will initially be given routine duties like moving stacks of paper from cutting machines to folding machines. They are then taught fundamental binding skills and principles, such as the attributes of paper and how to best to cut big sheets of paper in order to minimize paper waste. Later, they are assigned harder jobs like embossing and adding holograms and are taught to run some of the equipment. Most of the binderies these days prefer computerized binding machines even though it takes a lot more time for the workers to learn the complicated work using these machines.

Self Hypnosis Cds - Whisper Subliminals

Health Info

In the last article I discussed the concept of subliminal elements that can be included with self hypnosis cds. In this article, I want to describe a special type of subliminal persuasion, namely the whisper subliminal.

Duncan McColl developed the idea of whisper subliminals and I will leave it to his own words to describe how this came about.

“A whole new concept in subliminal healing evolved in 1990 in meeting an exceptional need for a cd to assist in a difficult childbirth case.

Meeting an exceptional challenge in 1992 produced another innovation in recording therapy: Whisper Subliminal.

Quite simply… the musical ’screening’ is removed and the high-speed subliminal message is recorded at low volume. In using the recording, the volume is turned down so that the whisper becomes inaudible. The subliminal message is then received and implemented by the subconscious control levels of mind to the precise degree that it is beneficial to whoever is within normal hearing range…

The whisper subliminal recording can be played at anytime, including while driving, reading or watching television. The beneficial influence is apparent immediately.” Duncan McColl

The great benefit of a Whisper Subliminal recording is that you do not have to take time out to listen to it. You can just have it playing in the background and because the sound is turned down to below audibility it does not interfere with anything else you might be doing or concentrating on. It is a truly unique concept and a great asset to the person who wants to change but finds they have no time to do so.

On many of the Self Hypnosis cds authored by Duncan there is a Whisper Subliminal track to add to the choice of the listener

Finding The Leader Within (Keys To Zen Leadership)

Web Management

Most believe that leadership is an innate quality that some have, not others. They believe that leaders are born not made. Nothing can be further from the truth. Each one of us has the potential to stand tall, be a light to others, clearly define a vision and mission and take charge. Within every individual an “Inner Leader” is waiting to be born.

Most shy away due to various fears - such as fear of their own strength, distancing familiar friends, and public criticsm.. However, these and others fears can be easily handled when the 10 Keys To Leadership are known and applied. The path to becoming a leader is actually a path of personal growth, learning how to utilize all of one’s resources and becoming all that one can be.
A couple of the keys follow:

Key 1 - Be An Example Of What You Want Others To Be.

We all have expectations of others, and many leaders spend most of their time trying to get others to meet their standards.. They demand loyalty, dependability, and
enthusiasm, want others to be one hundred per cent committed to getting the job done. These are fine expectations. However, before placing them upon others, make sure you live them yourself fully.

You cannot ask more from others than you ask from yourself. Who you are always speaks much more loudly than what you say.
Take a personal inventory of all the qualities you want in others. Then take a personal inventory of how you express these qualities in your own life. Pick one quality a day and work with it. Be aware of how and when you could be expressing this quality and what different it would make, both to yourself and others.

Key 2 - Say What You Mean And Do What You Say

This is also called being authentic, or aligned communication. When we think one thing, say another and then do something else, not only are we personally out of alignment, but the basic message we are communicating is that we cannot be trusted. We are out of balance and integrity.

There are hidden agendas operating and we are not living from the fundamental truth of who we are. Integrity is a key quality needed in leaders. This is developed and communicated by direct, honest communication.

Say What You Mean - do not play games and manipulate others. Manipulation always backfires. Although it may be exciting to be on your team, if others are manipulated, sooner or later they will feel used and recoil. A true leader inspires trust. He/she can be trusted. This is developed when you say what you mean and do what you say in a timely manner. When you keep your promises to others, they will keep their promises to you.

Key 3- True Leaders Serve Others, They Do Not Dominate

Many individuals think of a leader as having power over others. These leaders mistakenly use their power to dominate and control. This is not leadership, but domination. It is a sign of weakness, not strength.

True strength comes from understanding that the real function of a leader is to serve, to actualize a larger vision, be dedicated to a cause beyond one’s personal concerns. Rather than think that others are there to serve you, realize that each person on your team is someone you are there to help. It is your job to bring out the best in him/her.When you help them become all they can be, when you share your vision and bring it alive in them, you are leading truly..

This key can be implemented by putting your attention on the well-being of others, not just necessarily on your goal.. Others, sensing your concern, feel cared for and uplifted. They naturally work to the best of their capacities and offer support in return.

Key 4 - Acknowledge Others Every Step Of The Way

We take so much for granted. When others take actions that are helpful, most of the time they go unnoticed. A true leader makes a point of noticing even the smallest actions of those he is leading, and acknowledging them each step of the way. Continual acknowledgment not only encourages further action, but is a form of gratitude.

It builds momentum both in the relationship and project. The individual who has been acknowledged feels known and valued. Their contribution is validated. This builds a strong sense of self worth in them and allows them to be more creative as well.

Not only is it necessary to acknowledge others, but also oneself. Take time to write down the steps you’ve taken each day, particularly those that have brought you closer to your goal. Consider this a book of wins. Read your wins over daily. Take a moment and acknowledge to yourself all you have accomplished. Otherwise, our actions blend together and are quickly lost track of. We are usually only aware of what is left to do, and often do not experience fulfillment each step of the way.

KEY 5 - Give Credit For Success To Others

Rather than be in the limelight, reaping the praise for a job well done, give the praise and acknowledgment to others. Mention their contributions. Give credit where credit is due. Do this publicly. Not only will their loyalty to the project deepen, but along with it their good will.

When you take all the praise for yourself, jealousy and competition appear.. Power struggles, fear, and resentment saps energy and momentum. Obstructions and obstacles arise. The less praise you take for yourself, the more the project will thrive.

This is leadership which recognizes that no one can achieve a goal alone. It is based upon an ancient saying, “The more we praise others, the more are we praiseworthy ourselves.”

Student-Teacher Relations

Education

Studying process is not easy. Ask any student and the answer
will be pretty much the same. It is not easy to cope with all
the tasks and assignments given at the university on time,
therefore there is no free time left. The absence of rest
results into over exhaustion which prevents you from getting the
most out of your studies. Constant depressions or just feeling
low is quite familiar to students. It has nothing to do with the
teenage period, it’s all over and gone, when you are a college
student. The cause is the atmosphere around you and the studying
process. Let’s try to get deeper into this problem.

To study well, you have to be hard working, industrious, curious
and longing for knowledge, but there will be no result without
established stable good cooperation between students and
teachers, tutors or professors. The misunderstanding between the
two may result into complete rejection of any matter expressed
by the tutor from student’s side and complete carelessness about
the interest of the auditorium. Even being a postgraduate
student, one may experience cold and unconcerned guidance of the
advisor while writing a thesi
s paper. To be successful in the future, one must resolve
this problem and try to establish a fine solution. According to
psychology the cause of misunderstanding with others has to be
searched for in oneself. Certainly, it is not easy to convince
yourself that your behavior is not proper, but something has to
be done about it. You are ambitious and willing to develop and
grow and you are ready to do anything to reach success. Without
noticing it, you may provoke your advisor or hurt his feelings.
Your genuine dissatisfaction when your th
esis proposal is rejected is quite understandable. So why
don’t you seek the reason not in your thesis but in your manner
of behavior in your tutor’s presence.

Here are some clues that will help you to define what was done
wrong. To communicate easily you have to understand that a
person you talk to has his own ambitions and thoughts.
Expressing your idea plainly, not considering the evidence given
by your advisor will show disrespect to the scientist that is
more experienced in the field than you are. Choose words and
ways when speaking to your tutor. It is quite obvious that you
are intelligent; if there is a disagreement, it’s sometimes
better to retreat than to get involved into a heated argument.
If you show that you have ignored his lectures or never looked
through his manual, you will be treated carelessly. Try to make
an impression of a diligent, intelligent, interesting person
with sense of humor and longing for success. Every scholar is
pleased to hear that his work is appreciated, so try to make a
compliment on what he’s accomplished. But if there is no
particular reason for your being disregarded, inform about it.
Your advisor’s task is to guide you through the process and
propose assistance if necessary. There will be no successful
cooperation if you don’t feel comfortable with each other. Your
thesis is the first step towards bright career and you have to
do your utmost to complete it duly. Guidance provided is very
important, so if there are any misunderstandings, try to improve
the situation and continue cooperation on friendly terms.

Loan Officers, Do You Want Success?

Web Of Sales

A short observation on success…

Having the opportunity to speak to thousands of loan officers across the country has given me an opportunity to pull out my “magnifying glass” so to speak. One of the things I have noticed is that there is a certain quality, or intangible that separate those who are successful versus those who are not.

During my weekly calls, I will speak to 50-75 loan officers each week. Out of this number of lo’s I will typically find one loan officer who is either already experiencing a level of success,or has the necessary mindset and tools to begin improving.

Did you catch that? Only one person out of this group of 50-75 actually feels that he/she is experiencing success! This isn’t meant to scare you or discourage you, it is only meant to illustrate a point. The secret to success in the mortgage industry has very little to do with your marketplace, personality and the company you work for. While these things certainly can make the job easier, they will not help you one bit if you do not possess that elusive “something” that seems to catapult a rare group of men and women to new heights.

Are you ready to hear what this quality or “something” is? Ok then, here it is:

They work…..

You read this right. The main separation between those who are successful and those who are not is this group of individuals is willing to be proactive and MAKE things happen!

As “plain Jane” as this trait may seem, what did you expect? We all seem to constantly look for some glossy, super secret technique that will FORCE success into our laps, when the answer is floating in front of our faces all along.

See, I give away free materials, and campaigns, and techniques EVERY SINGLE DAY. Yet, when I conduct follow-up surveys, I find that the VAST majority of individuals who were so pumped up and excited about the information and techniques they learned, did absolutely nothing with what they learned.

We all know that this knowledge does us no good unless it is put into practice, so why do we do this? Why do we refuse to invest in ourselves? Why do we refuse to put the necessary time and energy into our business? Why do we fail to realize that sales and marketing is nothing more than communication; a form of processing and distributing information in an effective manner?

I ask these questions because each and every one of us needs to take a look at ourselves, and decide to work ON our business instead of just working IN our business.

The answers are out there staring us in the face. Whether you wish to be successful with refi’s, builders, Realtors, equity loans etc. Nothing happens until you decide to DO something. More energy is expended complaining about lack of success than actually doing something about it.

Please don’t read into this as a rant, but rather as a wake up call! There is so much talent out there that goes unrealized it blows my mind. Success CAN happen, and it can happen relatively quickly once we decide we want it bad enough to do something about it. Chances are you already possess a talent or potential that you have’nt even realized yet. Do you believe enough in yourself to uncover this talent? What is stopping you?
